Wayne Charles Murray, of Thaxton, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the age of 77.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Irene Miller Murray.

Wayne loved to work on automobiles. He also loved food and should have pursued becoming a critic with the way he critiques meals. Wayne was quite the jokester, always quick on his feet with a joke.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Trina Moreland; his daughters, Judy Wann, Karen Murray, and Kathrene Murray; his sons, Wayne Murray, Jr. and John Murray; his grandchildren, Gustavo Perez, Rebecca Perez, David Wann, Jr., James Perez, Hunter Crago, Rene Perez, Even Murray, and Ian Murray; and his great-grandchildren, Sophia Perez, Carson Crago, and Elizabeth Crago.

A private service to honor Wayne's life will be held at a later date.
