Wanda Faye Herron Wright, age 71, of Salem, Virginia, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family. She was born on September 17, 1953, to the late Roy Albert Herron and Geraldine Maude Francisco Herron.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Wayne Herron and Ronald Lee Herron.

Wanda's love for her family and hobbies created lasting memories. Wanda cherished her family deeply, and her love for grandchildren was a defining part of her life; they were her world! She enjoyed creating precious memories with them, rather playing cards, enjoying cookouts, or simply spending time with one another. She also enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and crafting.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her loving and devoted husband, Gary Robert Wright, Sr.; one son,  Gary Robert Wright, Jr.; one daughter, Stacey Wright Pettitt (Keith); siblings, Janice Crawford (Buddy), Roy Albert Herron, Jr. (Sarah); grandchildren, Chris Creasman (Marica), Brittany Shannon (Quenton), Caitlyn Wright (Stephen), Sierra England (Noah), Hunter Pettitt (Addie), Logan Pettitt, Cooper Bowles and Hazel Bowles; great-grandchildren, McKinley Shannon, Adelynn Shannon, Gabriel Creasman, and Amelia Creasman; special family, Pamela Thompson (Bruce) and Michael Pettitt, II (P.J.).

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 1 PM to 2 PM, with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM.
