Walter Franklin Yearout, affectionately known as Junebug by his family and friends, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Salem, Virginia. He was born on July 26, 1944, in Pulaski, Virginia, to the late Nellie and Walter Yearout.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Whitt and Judy Childress.

Walter served in the United States Army for two years and was later employed with Walmart for fifteen years. In his spare time, he loved going to the beach, fishing, and singing. He would go to the Moose Lodge to sing some of his favorite songs.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lisa Miller, and her husband, Ron Miller; his grandchildren, Cody Hylton and Brandon Hannabass, and his wife, Abby Hannabass; and his brother, Mike Yearout, and his wife, Jeanette Yearout.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 5, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salem Moose Lodge.
