Vernon Mark "Chuck" Young, born on August 5, 1961, entered Heaven on December 19, 2023.

To know Chuck was to love him, for he was a fun-loving soul with a huge heart of gold. Always thoughtful, helpful, and ready to lend a hand, he brought joy and laughter wherever he went. Chuck's life was a mix of caring, love, and a mischievous, prankster spirit. He found pleasure in people smiling and sharing a laugh with him.

His passion for junking led him to marvel at the unique finds he uncovered, and he enjoyed sharing his treasures with others.

A lifelong Miami Dolphins fan, Chuck also enjoyed NASCAR, but loved the dragstrip where he cheered for his favorite cars. He indeed had the "Need for Speed"

Where Chuck went, music followed. He had his favorite "Tunes", as he called them, but he loved all music. Chuck found joy in babysitting the family animals—Tripp, Frehley, and Bentley. Fishing was one of his most favorite pastimes, and he cherished moments spent with little ones by his side, passing on his love for the thrill of a catch.

Chuck is preceded in death by his father, Navie Young; mother, Nancy Conner; and brother, Ronnie Young.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Young; sisters, Sandi Morris and Patsy Holland; sister-in-law, Becky Weaver Young; nephews, Jody Young and Tyler Morris; and nieces, Lindsey "Linnie" Mitchell, Danielle Holland, and Olivia Holland.

Chuck requested no formal services. A Celebration of Life, featuring the planting of a tree in his memory, will be held at a later date. His ashes will be placed with the tree, ensuring his spirit lives on through the years of growth.

May the memories of Chuck's laughter, warmth, and love comfort all those who knew and cherished him.
