Vernon Thomas Robbins, 84, husband of Margie Robbins, went to be with his Lord on July 31, 2025.

Vernon Robbins was a gentle, loving, devoted family man with an adventuresome spirit.

He was known for his love and faith in his Lord and Savior, Lord Jesus Christ. And he walked in strength and courage as he and his family traveled the country on assignments from God, touching lives and making friends everywhere they went.

Vernon spent a lot of time with his children as they were growing up, and his sense of humor and love for games earned him the honored title of "Gamemeister" by his grandchildren.  He was an avid sports fan, devoted to attending family sporting events and sharing the latest accomplishments of his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

In the early years of his professional life, he was a skilled problem solver.  He used these skills in his pastoral ministry as well. During his ministry, he pastored a Vineyard church in Columbia, MO, and in Wierton, WV.  He also served as an assistant pastor at the Airport Vineyard  Church in Toronto, Canada, where a revival broke out and people from all over the world came to get a touch from the Lord.

He was the son of the late Thomas Robbins and Ruth Curby. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Madison; his brother, Gary Robbins; and his granddaughter, Faith Faudoa.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Brian Robbins, and wife, Anita Robbins; daughter, Becky Bailey and husband, Brian Bailey; sisters, Joyce Licci and Karen Earley; 12 Grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will have a celebration of  Vernon's life at a later date in Boones Mill, VA, at the home of his son, Brian.
