It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy "Tim" Wayne Handy of Paint Bank, Virginia passed away at the age of 56 on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Tim was born in York, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1965. He was the son of the late Geraldine Inez Baker Handy and Donald Page Handy of York, PA. Proceeded in his death was the love of his life Cynthia Bayse Agee, 2 sisters Patty Handy of West York, PA, and Marth King of Thomasville, PA. He is survived by 4 children, TJ Handy of Paint Bank, VA, Andrea Handy, and fiancé Mike Foster of Roanoke, VA, Chelsea Handy, and fiancé Brian of Red House, MD and Brandon Handy of Paint Bank, VA. 11 Siblings, Gerald "Jib" Handy of New Oxford, PA, Donald Handy of York, PA, Ralph Handy of East Berlin, PA, Marylou Warehime of East Berlin, PA, Kenneth Jimmy Handy of Glen Rock, PA, Donna Susie Moser, Ivan Handy, Charlotte Lotty Musser, Rebecca Erdmam all of York, PA, Robert Handy of West York, PA and Delbert "Dub" Handy of Salem, VA. 5 Grandchildren; Maya, Mia and Hayden Handy of New Castle, VA and Leandra Star Foster and River Kelly of Roanoke, VA.
Tim Grew up in Glen Rock, PA where he attended Friendship Elementary, Southern Middle & Susquehannock High School in Glen Rock. Tim started working at the age of 16 at Cross Keys Diner in New Oxford, PA. Tim turned out to be one of the best chefs they ever had and is renowned at that restaurant to this day. Tim ended his career after 16 years as the chef at the Swinging Bridge Restaurant in Paint Bank, VA. Tim had such a great work ethic and cooking was his passion. Tim was a master of playing Ping Pong and Pacman with his kids, he loved the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, horseshoes, Nascar, and playing guitar. Many people told Tim he was a double for Dale Earnhardt Sr. Tim had a great sense of humor, loved to make people laugh, and was an amazing father. Brother, grandfather, and friend to all that knew him. He also loved his furry four-legged dog, Casper.
Visitation: Thursday, September 16, 2021, 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at Paitsel Funeral Home, with a M emorial Service at 7:00 pm with Pastor David Joyner of Covington VA officiating.
