In Loving Memory of Thomas Jones Mackay

Thomas Jones "Tom" Mackay, 70, passed away on June 11, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina. Born on August 29, 1955, he was the son of the late Delores and Robert Mackay, Sr.

Tom was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served his country with honor. Throughout his working years, he was employed by Remax and later by Jim Hudson Cadillac Dealership, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Family was the heart of Tom's life. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren, creating joyful memories during holidays and family gatherings. He shared a special bond with his beloved wiener dog, Bailey, who was his constant companion. Tom also loved to travel, and visiting Yellowstone National Park was among his favorite adventures.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Christina "Tina" Lindsey and Robert Mackay, Jr. and his wife, Ashley; his treasured fur baby, Bailey; and his grandchildren, David Lindsey IV, Raymond Mackay, Kira Mackay, Carter Mackay, and Wynter Saunders. He is also survived by his siblings, Tim Mackay and Robert "Bob" Mackay, Jr., along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Tom's life was marked by service, love, and the joy he found in family and simple pleasures. His memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him.

A Memorial Service was held on July 11, 2026, at 2pm at Valley Funeral Home Chapel.
