Lee Terry McCreary
November 20, 1945 – December 28, 2024
Terry "Lee" McCreary of Roanoke, Virginia passed away in his home at 79. He leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Deb Solomon, and his two special cats, Misty and Oatmeal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Fredrick McCreary, and sister Charlene Bruce. He is survived by his brother, Larry McCreary, son Marshall McCreary (Kim), daughter Sabrina McCreary, stepson, Brian Caudle, along with numerous grandchildren.
"Lee Mc" was born November 20, 1945, in Harlan, Kentucky to Lawrence and Katherine McCreary. Lee attended Central High School and he then joined the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. After his tour of duty, Lee graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 1976.
When he returned to Virginia in 1991, Lee started his business, "LeeMc Enterprises Inc." where he was the President/Owner Computer Consultant doing website development and database programming for companies in SWVA. He retired in 2014.
He was the proud Founder and President of the "Swampdrainer's Society" boasting more than 500 members to date. For many years, he was an avid golfer, billiards player, and numismatist (coin collector).
Lee has many friends and family who are blessed to have known him. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at Spike's Bar and Grill once arrangements for his commendable service to the country are complete.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Lee would want to support all military families in any way possible.
