Tammy Lynn Williams of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2021, at the age of 50. Tammy was born on October 21, 1971, to the late Hubert Lee Thurman Sr. and Janet Lee Kingery in Roanoke, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving son, Christopher Lee Williams.

Those left to remember the wonderful memories that Tammy leaves behind are her loving son, Robert Martin and his fiancé, Kimberly Smith; grandchildren, Cayden, Lauryrrn, and Josh Martin; siblings, Hubert Thurman, Jr., and his wife, Salena, and Steven Thomas Kingery; nieces and nephews, Ashley Brianna Thurman, Michael Lee Thurman, and Justin Nathaniel Thurman; great niece, Layla Grace.

Tammy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Her heart was strong as she gave selflessly to her family, at times doing without to give her family the needs that they deserved. Everyone loved her and she gave the same amount of love back to you. The choices made in her life helped to shape her son Robert into becoming the man that he is today. She was a hard worker throughout the Roanoke Valley, especially at The Park where she worked recently. She was an exceptional cook, her brother Hubert says, and made the best baked beans around. Tammy could throw a spread on any table that was mouthwatering and delicious, but she always had to have a clean kitchen after serving her family dinners. Tammy enjoyed her rock-n-roll, especially Guns-N-Roses' Paradise City . A beautiful soul was taken away from us, but there are memories that no one can take away.
