Sylvia Marian Carter Parcha, of Roanoke, was born on January 29, 1938, in Birkenhead, England, and departed this life on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the age of 84.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Clara Shoesmith Carter; her husband, Edward Parcha; her son, Stephen; and her siblings, John, Joan, and Evelyn.

Sylvia was a proud Brit who raised 4 sons by herself through their teen years. She enjoyed working on various crafts, including basket weaving, decoupage, and refinishing small tables and other items. She loved fixing up her house and was constantly showing it off.

Those left to cherish Sylvia's memory are her sons, Michael, David, and Edward; her grandchildren, Travis, Ryan, and Chelsea; her great-grandson, Jaxon; her brother, Charlie, and his wife, Hazel; her nephew, Paul; and her niece, Andrea.

The family will gather at 1217 Kerns Ave. in Roanoke, Virginia on the 17 ^th of December beginning at 2 p.m. to celebrate Sylvia's wonderful life.
