Susan Kay King, of Roanoke, left this Earth on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the age of 74. Susan was born in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, on May 8, 1948, to the late Julius Yates Skinner and Mary Metlo Skinner.

Also preceding her in death is her nephew, David Neil Shockley.

Susan worked as an administrative assistant for most of her life. She was great at sewing, knitting, and crocheting, making those her favorite past times. Another thing that Susan enjoyed was singing in church.

Those left to cherish Susan's wonderful memories are her brother, James M. Skinner (Cheryl); her beloved friend, Terri Bussey; and a host of nieces, nephews, and their children.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 1 ^st at 10:00 a.m. in the Faith Chapel at First Baptist Church of Roanoke.
