Shirley E. Witcher departed this life on Sunday, October 31, 2021. She was 76 and born on June 21, 1945. The daughter of the late Thomas Witcher and Birdie Steptoe Witcher, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Witcher, Roger Witcher I, and nephew, Roger Witcher II. Those left to cherish her memory include son, J. M. Atkins, sister, Brenda Witcher Dudley (Richard) of Tampa, Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives. She was a 1963 graduate of Lucy Addison High School and a member of the Williams Memorial Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor David Jones.
