Shirley Eversole, 88, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. Born on February 22, 1937, Shirley lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and joy.

She worked tirelessly throughout her life, managing a truck stop from 1959 to 1981 and later lending her talents to Adams Construction, the City of Roanoke, and Bramble Oil. Beyond her strong work ethic, Shirley had a true passion for dancing, which brought her and those around her much happiness.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Eversole; her daughter, Vicky Westmoreland; and her parents, Clyde and Zonna Buckner.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ricky Eversole; her adopted daughter, Ola Westmoreland; her nieces, Amy and Sharon (Jimmy); her nephews, Richard and Tommy; and her special friend, Belle Lowe.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Rodney Wilson officiating.
