Shannon Mae Harvey, lovingly known as "ShaMae," 56, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on September 4, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Michael A. Kelly; her parents, John T. Harvey Sr. and Susan K. Niday (Morey); her daughter, Lena B. Breeden; and her faithful Chihuahua, Gizmo.

Shannon's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her son, Timothy E. Harvey, and his children, Calleigh M. Harvey and Kevin T. Harvey, as well as her great-granddaughter, Phoenix I. Hernandez. She is also survived by her daughter, Amber M. Bailey (Breeden), and her children, Colton J. Whorley, Mason J. Whorley, and Athena D. Bailey. Shannon leaves behind her cherished grandsons, Chandler W. Janney and Dakota I. Roop, who held a very special place in her heart.

For more than 15 years, ShaMae worked at NAPA Auto Parts, where her passion for cars and her gearhead spirit shone through. She loved going to car shows, working on and showing off her treasured 1972 Ford Mustang, and sharing her enthusiasm with friends and family. Her love for Marvin the Martian, Eeyore, and Stitch brought a touch of fun and whimsy to her life, and she proudly cheered on the Dallas Cowboys every season.

Above all, Shannon loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Her warmth, humor, and strong spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Golden Park (1566 Carlisle Ave SE, Roanoke, VA 24014) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please join us in celebrating the life of ShaMae and bring stories and plenty of laughter!
