Sandra Honeycutt
Capper
May 6, 1965 — Dec 6, 2021
Roanoke
On December 6, 2021, in Roanoke, Virginia, Sandra Honeycutt Capper, age 56, entered her heavenly home. She was a gentle, compassionate, and kindhearted woman who reached a place of peace in her life despite the serious health issues that she endured.
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, Sandy graduated from Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, Maryland, and attended the University of Maryland, where she studied psychology. She loved working with children, including positions as a pre-school teacher, teaching assistant, substitute teacher, and parent volunteer as she raised her family. Sandy was an avid reader, had several favorite musicals, and adored her tiny, spunky dog, Penelope, who was her constant companion in recent years.
Sandy was the daughter of the late James Gregory Honeycutt and Patricia Ann Honeycutt. She is survived by her children, Samuel Capper of Mount Airy, Maryland, Mary Reddick and her husband Brent of Roanoke, Virginia, and Abigail Capper of Mount Airy, Maryland. She was sister to James M. Honeycutt (Christine), Christopher L. Honeycutt (Gina), and Julie A. Honeycutt, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other beloved extended family members.
To honor Sandy's memory, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or your local SPCA. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." (Revelations 21:4)
