Sam Glenn Little, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at the age of 71.

Sam was a skilled carpenter who loved to work and took pride in his craft. He was a man of faith who enjoyed attending church and found great joy in music, especially gospel. Above all, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren, playing with them and sharing in their laughter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Little, his mother, Lola Frances Little, and father, Robert Woodrow Little; and his siblings, Shirley Bullin, Mary Mumpower, Paulina Harless, Hazel Simmons, Gene Little, and George Little.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Teresa Little, Frances Little, and Brandi Wilmer; two brothers and seven sisters; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor his life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation beginning one hour prior, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Reverend Wess Conner will officiate. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Good Samaritan Hospice in his memory.
