We gather in love and remembrance of Roy Christian (April 16, 1947 – October 24, 2025), a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and strength into every life he touched.

Born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia, to James W. ("Bill") and Lucy Mae (Kinder) Christian, Roy grew up in a family rooted in faith, laughter, and loyalty. He was preceded in death by his dear parents; his sisters Ocie Whitt and Mary Johnson; and his brothers Ralph, Gilford, and Gillis Christian.

Roy's greatest joys came from his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Della Christian; his son, Richard Christian; and his wife, Susan Christian, his daughter, Vickie Christian; and her life partner, Amy Branham. He also leaves a devoted brother, James W. Christian Jr., and sisters JoAnn Hobbs (Danny), Dorothy Keen (Larry), Nancy Keen (Ronald), Ruby Cantrell (late husband Farley), and Lucille McGlothlin
(Hobert).

Roy's legacy will live on in his warm smile, the sound of his laughter, the countless acts of kindness he offered quietly—but always sincerely—and in the love that remains in our hearts. Though we say goodbye for now, his spirit walks beside us still.
