Ronald Edward Armstrong, also known as Eddie, Big Ed, and Papa passed away peacefully at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA on January 26th, 2024.

Eddie was born on January 7, 1967, to Vienna Roberta and Paul Armstrong in Martinsville, VA. Ronald was employed by General Dynamics for 25 years. Eddie enjoyed playing guitar and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Vienna and Paul Armstrong, and his sister, Christine Cook.

Ronald is survived by his 1st wife, Lorri Stanely, and her husband, Nathan of Hardy, VA; his current wife of 25 years, Jennifer Armstrong of Marion, VA; his daughter and only child, Brienna Nicole Armstrong of Marion, VA; his grandchildren, Aya and Tormond "Will" Wilhelm Armstrong; his sisters, Nancy and Carlton Craig of Marion, VA; Kathleen Evan's of Marion VA; Cynthia and William "Joby" Joe Bennett of Marion, VA; his nieces and nephews, Gale Eller; Misty, Kimberly, Sammy, Kathy Evans; Jessie and William Joe Jr Bennett; Amanda and Adam Evans; Kayla Bennett is like a niece but a great-niece; and many great nieces and nephews.

A service to honor Ronald's life will be planned in the future at a time to be determined.
