Rodney Earl Nunley, Jr., a licensed plumber, and devoted family man, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was born on August 7, 1954, in Roanoke, VA, to Rodney Earl Nunley, Sr., and Peggy Jean Nunley. Rodney was a skilled plumber and took great pride in his work. In his free time, he enjoyed cheering for the Florida Gators football team and following NASCAR races.
Rodney's greatest joy in life was spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He cherished every moment with them and delighted in doing fun activities together. His love and guidance will forever be cherished by his daughters: Brittney Nunley, Alisha Nunley, and Renea Roberts (John Roberts). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Jaylon and Miah Simpson, and Riley and Cameron Roberts.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Earl Nunley, Sr., his mother, Peggy Jean Nunley, his sister, Brenda Nunley Hawks, and his brother-in-law, Michael Steve Hill. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Nunley, who will forever hold him in her heart.
He will also be remembered by his sisters: Teresa Hill Martin (Dan Martin), Mitzi Nunley Sutphin (Ricky Sutphin), and Denise Nunley Harris (Bud Harris), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A celebration of Rodney's life will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lynn Haven Baptist Church, where Pastor Bryan Crouch will officiate the service.

Rodney Earl Nunley, Jr. will be remembered as a dedicated plumber, a devoted family man, and a loving grandfather. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those he touched.
