Robert Vogel, Sr., born on August 7, 1942, in Long Island, NY, peacefully departed this life on January 26, 2024, in Blue Ridge, VA. A devoted family man and a proud army veteran, Robert's life was marked by service, hard work, and a deep love for his family.

In the early sixties, Robert served in the army, a testament to his dedication to his country. He later went on to work as a plant manager for Horowitz and Pintis in Toledo, OH, showcasing his strong work ethic. In his later years, he was known as a friendly parking attendant at Roanoke Park. Robert found solace in the pages of John Grisham's novels, a passion that brought him much joy.

A loving father, grandfather, and brother, Robert cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, John Vogel, mother, Grace Vogel, and sister, Anne Lehrfeld. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Marie Vogel; sons, Richard John Vogel and Robert Vogel, Jr.; and sister, Jane LeRoux. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family bonds, remembered by his grandchildren: Natasha Anne Ovellette, James Washburn, Trent Washburn, Haley Leftwich, Rori Tiana Vogel, Joseph, Robert, and Ethan Vogel, and Arianna Rose Vogel, along with his seven great-grandchildren.
