Rebecca Ann Proctor Blanchett, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the age of 36.

Becky was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on May 10, 1986, to Steve Proctor (Sharon) and Agnes Proctor.

Becky is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Virginia Thomas and Harry David Thomas; and her paternal grandparents, Laura Ann Farmer and William Joe Proctor.

Becky loved a good sale and a good coupon. She would penny shop at Dollar General, buy a trunkload of shoes for a penny each, then donate the shoes to children that didn't have any. She had that kind of heart. Every family member and friend has something they have gotten from her penny shopping that we're not sure what to do with. Those items will now be treasured forever.

Our Becky had no pretensions. She was a single mother struggling to raise her 3 children. They were here life and she made sure they had what they needed and some of what they wanted. She did her best and her children know that. They will have wonderful memories of their mom and will realize that Mom gave up a lot for them to be as happy as possible.

Those left to cherish Becky's memories are her 3 most precious accomplishments, her children, Briana Blanchett, Kayla Blanchett, and Stevie Blanchett; her mother, Agnes Proctor; her father, Steve Proctor (Sharon); her sister, Amy Marie Gibson (Scott); her stepbrothers, Tommy Roop and Gary "Tiny" Roop; her nieces, Elizabeth and Natalie Collins; and her nephew, Andrew Gibson. And too many special aunts, uncles, and cousins to name, not to mention friends here and in Florida.

There will be no viewing; however, a taco party will be held at a later time. This was her request and we will honor it.  Be prepared with stories to tell.

In lieu of flowers and food, we ask that donations be made to the children's account at Pinnacle Financial Partners in the names of the 3 children.
