Raymond Alan Cregger ("Ramey"), 62, of Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia, on November 9, 1962, Ramey was predeceased by his mother, Jancie Zell Cregger, and his father and stepmother, Randy and Wilda Cregger.

A 1981 graduate of Salem High School, Ramey was a master mechanic who worked at several dealerships in Salem, including Pinkerton Chevrolet, Hart Oldsmobile, and Dominion Dodge. He also spent years working with his friend, Chuck Campbell, at the Automotive Service Center. Ramey enjoyed fishing, golfing, and Virginia Tech football.

He is survived by his children, Zachary, Kasie and wife Rebecca, and Tristen Cregger, and their mother, DeeDee Jones; his brother, Randall Cregger; his sister, Rhonda Cregger; his nieces, Tiffany Cregger-Harmon and Brittney Cregger, along with several aunts, cousins, and many friends.

The family extends special thanks to Dana Hartman for her care of Ramey in recent years.

In accordance with Ramey's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
