Randy, a lifelong resident of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, with his family by his side.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Pendleton, and his sister, Deborah Eversole.

Randy attended Patrick Henry High School and played on the baseball team where he excelled as a pitcher, winning many games and championships for the Patriots. After graduation, he attended an art college and then joined the U.S. Coast Guard.

Randy owned and operated his own business for 37 years, Roanoke Concrete and Construction, and was proud of all the commercial and residential concrete work he did throughout the Roanoke Valley.

Randy loved his pet dogs, especially his last best friend, Oreo. Randy was devoted to his family and is remembered for his love, humor, and funny antics. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Terri; her son, Grant Yates, and his girlfriend, Goldie; Randy's three children, Matthew, Clint, and Megan Pendleton; granddaughter, Ellie Pendleton; sister, Susan Erdeky; many nieces, nephews, and friends; and sister-in-law, Debbie Beamer.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care, and especially Randy's nurse, Debra, for their kind care of him.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Evergreen Burial Park in Roanoke.
