Ralph Cross, age 88, departed this life on May 5, 2023, at Salem VA Medical Center. He was born in Tennessee on October 1, 1934, to the late Samuel Christopher Cross and Trula Faye Lowery Cross.

Ralph served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. Ralph had a special love for his children and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, building, and gardening.

Those left to cherish his memory are his four children, Scott Lee Cross, Kelly Cross Baucom, Diana Cross-Turner, and Deborah Jean Weathers; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

At a later date, t he family will spread his cremains at the Blue Ridge Parkway.
