Ralph Wayne Anderson, Sr., passed away on June 28, 2026, in Roanoke, Virginia. He was born on July 17, 1943, in Roanoke, Virginia.

Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy. He spent many years bowling, both participating and coaching, and made many wonderful friends along the way. He also enjoyed his years coaching little league baseball and soccer. Ralph retired from Norfolk Southern in the early 2000s after 38 years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda J. Anderson; his siblings, Jean Rakes and Donnie Anderson; and his parents, Hobson and Lula Anderson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Angela Anderson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson, Maddy Wright (Dom), and Emmett Caldwell (Kaylee); his great-grandchild, Beau Caldwell; and two special grand-kitties, Bella and Dunkin.

For those who knew Ralph, he wanted things done as simply as possible. A remembrance gathering will be held at a later date.
