Priscilla Lee Abernathy , 76, of Roanoke, Virginia, departed this life on September 1, 2025. She was born on November 28, 1948, in Roanoke, Virginia.

Priscilla was a dedicated bus driver for the Roanoke County School System for thirty-six years. She proclaimed it to be the "best job ever!" She was more than just a bus driver; she was a respected mother figure to many of the children she transported. She enjoyed making stained glass pictures and cards, painting, creating t-shirts, and decorating cakes. If you have ever received one of her homemade cards, you know that her creativity was priceless. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she really enjoyed dressing up.

Those left to cherish her memory are her six children, eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
