Phyllis Lynn Switzer of Waiteville, WV, passed away suddenly on January 21, 2025. She was born in Elmonte, CA on January 4, 1958.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Junior and Thelma Cleo Fridley Switzer; and her stepmother, Drucille Switzer; Two sisters, Dorothy Craft, and Jean Medley; and one brother, Harry F. Switzer.

Survived by one son, whom she loved with all her heart, Frankie Lee Greenway, Sr. (Wendy) of Ridgeway, VA; three grandchildren, Mikayla May Greenway (Blake Marolf) of SC, Chase LeRay Greenway and Frankie "Lee" Greenway, Jr., both of Ridgeway, VA; one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Mae Greenway of Ridgeway, VA; two half-sisters, Shirley Bratton of Covington and Thelma; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a hard worker. She worked at the sewing factory in New Castle for many years and did home health care throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her family. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Level Green Church (3388 Cumberland Gap Rd. in Newport, VA with Rev. Brad Armes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Level Green Church Cemetery.
