Philip Lewis Wood departed this life on December 27th, 2025, in Troutville, Virginia. He was born on  March 30th, 1953, in Roanoke, Virginia.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Wood.

Philip lived a life devoted to service, dedicating 37 years to the Roanoke Cement Plant. He was a loyal employee and will be remembered for his strong work ethic, steady integrity, and lifelong dedication to service. He was a faithful and beloved member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for many years.

Philip leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Cheryl G Wood; son,  Eric and his wife, Heather Wood;  grandson, Devon Wood; granddaughter, Briddie Wood; sisters, Lois Switzer and Connie and her husband, Robert Rathburn; brother, David and his wife,  Shirley Wood; brother-in-law, Ray and his wife, Margaret Grubbs, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The service will begin at 1 p.m. and the visitation will begin one hour prior.
