Obituary

Perry Wayne Barbour, affectionally known as PB Soul, was born on September 3, 1956, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Curtis and Roxie Barbour. He departed this life on May 10, 2024, in Salem, Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Phillip Anthony "Na'Tee" Davis.

Perry was a United States Marine Corps veteran, who served during the Vietnam War. He loved and cherished his daughters and grandchildren immensely. Perry never met a stranger and his big and bright personality shined everywhere he went. He was a wise man, full of knowledge, and who would often share his wisdom with his family and friends. Perry was always willing to lend a listening ear and gave the best advice. He was a huge Washington Redskin fan and enjoyed listening to James Brown's music and Louis Farrakhan's speeches.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ginger Barbour; loving and devoted daughters, Dena Barbour and Tanita Barbour; six grandchildren, Ronald Barbour, Camron Saunders, Nathniel Davis, Ahmad Shabazz, Rashaad Shabazz, and Desiyah Rosser.
