Peggy Lee Stanley, 67 of Troutville, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Donald Stewart.

She is survived by the loving family who will cherish her memory including her beloved husband of 48 years, Thomas M. Stanley; children, Angela Grimes, Tara Meeks and husband, Daniel, and Derrick Stanley; grandchildren, Sean Streng, Taylor Hart and Blake Meeks; three great-grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Stewart; siblings, Barry Stewart and wife, Judy, and Sue Dogan with husband, Jerry; special in-laws, Diane and Larry McCroskey; childhood friend, Marie Nichols and family; and a large extended family with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.

Peggy was a delightfully fun person to be around with a strong sense of mischief who loved to play tricks on people. She loved to vacation at Myrtle Beach and rarely met a stranger. Her favorite T.V. shows to watch were westerns, especially Gunsmoke among many others. She only loved the Lord more than her family, whom she loved with her whole heart and spent her happiest times. She was a devoted Christian now at peace in the arms of our Lord. She will be missed by all those she loved and by all those who loved her.
