Paul Thomas Hefner, 66, took the Lord's hand on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, after a diagnosis of cancer only two months ago.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dean and Joanne Hefner; his brother, Russell Hefner; his nephew, Roger Brown; and his previous mother-in-law, Marlyn Brooks.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Brooke Conway, and grandsons, Dylan and Blake; previous father-in-law, Richard Brooks; sister-in-law, Sue Hefner; sisters, Julie Ferrell and husband, Edwin, and Karen Fontana and husband, Nicholas; and brother, Terry Hefner; nephews, Billy Smelser and wife, Lauren, Bobby Smelser and wife, Erica, and Mickey Smelser and wife, Taylor; nieces, Jeanna Gilbert and husband, Toby, and Jessica Roulston and husband, Steven; and many cousins and great nephews and great nieces. A special thank you to his great nephew, Waylon Dean Gilbert, for giving Paul such immense joy during his last days.

Paul enjoyed wheeling and dealing, yard sales, cars, fishing, and family. He never met a stranger. He loved people. He was a kidder just like his father, D. T. And he loved the family time at Willow Bend Camp in Eagle Rock where the family spent their summers when all five siblings were young. The memories there are cherished by the whole family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Hollins Road Baptist Church beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Washington officiating.
