Neida Kay Greer passed away peacefully surrounded by her family December 30, 2022.  Neida was born May 12, 1955, to James and Kathleen Alls and was a lifelong resident of Salem.

Neida was a dedicated employee of PMI/Stop-In Food Markets for over 20 years.  She was known for her work ethic and generosity. Neida was the firstborn of four children and was a great big sister. She took great care of her family and made many sacrifices to do so. Neida found the most joy in this life being Grammy to her grandchildren, Lilee, and Hunter. They brought her laughter, love, and fun she didn't realize was possible. Neida couldn't swim a bit, but the beach was her happy place. She appreciated a well-done cheeseburger and made the best homemade pizza.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen and James Alls, brother Roger, and grandson, Grayson Cornette.

Neida is survived by her family who will miss her terribly; daughters, Angela Cornette (Jamee) of Waynesville, NC, and Chasity Greer of Salem, VA, sisters, Norma, and Patricia Alls of Salem, VA, grandchildren Lilian Cornette of Waynesville, NC and Hunter Christley of Salem, VA and Daisy Mae the family dog.

The family will be having a private memorial service and will receive friends at the home.
