Mildred Johnson Nichols, age 89 four days shy of her 90 ^th birthday, went to be with her husband, Ernest Nichols, who passed away in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Albert Homer Johnson and Lilly Jane Rutherford Johnson; son, Rocky Nichols; siblings, Vernon Johnson and Cornelia Johnson; granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Weaver; great-grandchildren, Tobin Kincer, and Jackson Keith Nichols.

She is survived by her loving children, Pat Kincer (Jim) and Steven Nichols (Glenna); grandchildren, Vanessa Weaver, Steven Nichols, Jr., Jason Kincer (Kristen), Zach Kincer and Logan Toney; greatgrandchildren, Christopher Nichols, Skylar Nichols, Grayson Kincer and Ezra Kincer; siblings, Fannie Sifers and Mable Hughes; sister-in-law, Virginia Strugill; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mildred loved to cook and anything she prepared was the best you ever tasted. She also loved to crochet and cross-stitch.  She enjoyed travelling in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. She loved her husband and missed him greatly ever since he passed away. Above all, she was a very family-oriented person and truly-loved all members of her family equally, cherishing them. She will be missed by all those who loved her.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:oo p.m. on April 19, 2021 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
