Michelle Browning Craig went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2026, after a long journey with ovarian cancer. Throughout her life, her friends and family knew Michelle as a bright and happy person brimming with joy and unconditional love.

Michelle was employed at Anthem in Roanoke for many years, where she made lifelong friends. She also took great comfort in her church and the love and support of those she met there. Michelle also enjoyed the art of creation through woodworking and other crafts throughout her life.

Michelle was a devoted wife and loving mother, and received great joy in watching her daughters develop and grow into their adult lives. Throughout her life, she counted her children, her family, and her pets as some of the greatest blessings from God.

Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Flem S. Browning, and daughter, Erin Paige Craig.

She is survived by her husband, Gray Craig; daughters, Abigail Craig and Madeline (Craig) Elkins; her sister Paula (Browning) Weikle; and her mother, Barbara (Russell) Browning.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at Bonsack Baptist Church, 4845 Coverdale Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24019, on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM, with Dr. Chris Cadenhead officiating.
