Michael Wayne Rieley, 55, of New Castle, Virginia, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2021.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Leonard Bartlett; and his stepson, Whitney Huffman.

Those left to cherish Michael's memory are his girlfriend of 20 years, Joanne Dickinson; his mother, Brenda Welch (Harry); his sisters, Sonya Paxton (Charlie) and Tammy Booth (Mark); brothers, Benjamin Welch and Jack Welch (Donna); his step-daughter, Cara Jacobs; his step-father Johnnie Elmore; his nephews, Mike Crawford (Ashley) and Travis Welch; his nieces, Madison Paxton, Megan Welch, Kristin Foster, and Laura Wright; his step-daughter, Miranda Huffman; his best friend since childhood, Wayne Kendall; special friends Debbie Mayo and Harry (Allan) Peyton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services are to be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Paitsel Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 6 p.m. and memorial service to begin at 7 p.m.
