Michael Edward Redden, Sr., passed away on June 1, 2026. He was born on October 9, 1949, in Roanoke, Virginia.

Michael worked as an automotive technician and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycles, turning wrenches, drag racing, speed boats, and playing cards. His love for working with his hands and spending time outdoors reflected the life he enjoyed and the memories he shared with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvis Edward Redden; his mother, Betty Whitworth Redden Sarver; and his granddaughter, Taylor Dawn Redden.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Barbara Atkins Redden; his siblings, Donna Gail Summers (Mike), Ann Bostic (Jimmy), and Eric Redden (Christy); his children, Robbie Redden (Karen), Michael Redden, Jr. (Maegan), Thomas Redden (Jessica), Phillip Redden (Melissa), and John Redden; and his grandchildren, Ty Barnes, Colton Redden, Katy Redden, Mikayla Redden, Paul Redden, Ryan Redden, and Harmony Redden.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Grace Assembly of God, 5530 Catawba Valley Drive, Catawba, Virginia 24070, beginning at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Dr. Loraine Taylor will officiate.
