Michael Anthony Mullins, affectionately known as Mike, 68, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on March 5, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial. Mike was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on December 4, 1956, to the late Buford Mullins and Sarah Bailes.

In addition to Mike's parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Mullins; son, Dustin Chittum and grandson, Corey Armstrong.

Mike served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged after several years of service. He worked at various jobs including the Federal Poff Building and being Santa at Blacksburg Mall. He also spent several years in the heating and air industry as an HVAC technician and several other jobs. He was a member of the Ninth Street Church of the Brethren. He became a member of the AMVETS in January of 2025. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed cheering them on. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, reading, journaling (writing poems), and collecting whatever he could get his hands on.

Those left to cherish his memory are his domestic partner, Leah Chittum; daughters, Michelle Canaday, Mary Gionet, Haley Chittu m and Ella Chittum ; sons, Casey Chittum, Cody Chittum, Hunter Chittum; grandchildren, Zachary, Brittany, Jacob, Brooke, Breanna, Harmony, Madilynn, and Oaklynn; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Graysen, Ray, Braelynn, Leslie, Laiklynn, and Devynn.Cat-Crowley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
