Michael "Mike" Chattin, 64, of Goodview, Virginia, passed away on June 2, 2025. Mike was born August 19, 1960, to Lewis and Rachel Chattin, whom he is now reunited with in Heaven.

Mike was a lifelong resident of Goodview, where he enjoyed farming, gardening, and fishing. He loved spending time in the tractor, hanging out at the shed with his cousins and family, and spoiling his grandkids. Mike was generous with everything he had, often growing and tending a garden big enough to feed the whole community.

Left to continue his legacy are his children, Ashley (Charles) Johnson and Elijah Clark, and his cherished grandchildren, Abbi Simmons and Jed Johnson. His siblings are Susie (Roger) Falls, Nancy (Roger) Jones, Joy (James) Hannabass, and Robert (Patsy) Chattin. Nieces and nephews: Michael, Kristi, Kim, Shannon, Chris, Jessica, Matthew, and Trevor. He held a special place in his heart for his many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family. His circle of care and support also included close friends and helpers, Shannon Simmons, Jimmy Whitten, Larry Wymer, and William Hardison. Also left to grieve his loss are his little puppy, Otis Wayne.

A service to honor Mike's life will be held on Friday, June 6th, at 1 pm at Goodview Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors 30 minutes before the service.
