June Perkins, 87, of Vinton was born on June 9, 1934, in Beech Fork, WV to Charles and Melba Perkins. She passed away on May 6, 2022.

June was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her three daughters: Sharon Hammack of Vinton, Rita (Gary) Spicer of Creston, NC, and Pamela (Doug) Felici, of Chatham, VA along with seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. June is also survived by her two sisters: Hazel Wagner of Roanoke and Karen (Bill) Robins of Williamsburg, VA.

June worked many years for Blue Ridge Transfer formerly located in Roanoke and she retired from Walmart where she worked as an accounting clerk. She was a long-time member of Vinton Wesleyan Church where she served in many roles over the years.

A memorial service will be held at Vinton Wesleyan Church on May 15 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Ricardo Rodriguez officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour before the service.
