Marydiane Elizabeth Lahodny, known affectionately as Diane, was born on February 17, 1957, in Staten Island, NY. She peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in Salem, VA.

Diane's journey through life was marked by her unwavering determination and boundless compassion. After relocating to Salem, VA, from Florida with her children, she embarked on an incredible path of self-improvement, putting herself through school to achieve her dream of becoming a licensed massage therapist. Her innate talent and dedication led her to establish her own successful business, Helpful Hands Massage.

Yet, Diane's true joy in life came from her role as a mother and grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, finding immense happiness in their presence. Her love and support were unwavering, a testament to the remarkable person she was.

Diane possessed a unique perspective on life. She had a remarkable ability to see the good in people and in every situation. She viewed the world through rose-colored lenses, bringing positivity and warmth to all those fortunate enough to know her.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Joe Buckley.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her children: Jaclyn (Cory), Kathleen, and Randy Jr. (Crystal), as well as her beloved grandchildren: Ashlynn, Eli, Camryn, Olivia, Kailani, and another precious one on the way. She is also survived by her siblings: Carol Jones (Danny), Debbie Buckley, JoAnne Shepherd (Phil), Joe Buckley (Cathy), and several nieces and nephews.
