Mary D. Link, 75, passed away in Roanoke, VA, on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Mary was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on July 15, 1949, and spent much of her life in MA before moving to VA in 2022. Mary earned her BA from Earlham College in Richmond, IN, and her MA and M.Ed from Teachers College, Columbia University in NYC. During her career, she worked with developmentally disabled adults in a residential setting and then via a work opportunity center as an Employment Specialist.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth F. and R. Margaret Pinkham Ryder; her brother, David F. Ryder; her niece, Cheryl L. Ryder; and her nephew, Robert A. Hubbard.

She is survived by her sisters, Susan Henke (Charles) of Huntington Station, NY, Carolyn DeHart (Donald) of Duxbury, MA, and Brabara Hubbard (Frank) of Collinsville, VA; her sister-in-law, Linda Ryder of Hamburg, NY; as well as by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Mary is remembered as a cheerful, caring, thoughtful, courageous, ethical, and loving sister, aunt, and friend, who was a wonderful listener and who loved deviled eggs.

Mary's service and burial will be in Longmeadow, MA, in the near future.
