Mary Simpson Boyd, born on October 3, 1933, peacefully passed away on March 18, 2024.

She faithfully attended Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren, Mary found solace and joy in her faith. She cherished her time spent crocheting and tending to her yard. Mary was an avid walker.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, and her sons, Timmy and Roger, as well as her parents, Paul and Cecil Simpson, and siblings Jimmy, Bobby, Dorothy, and Jenny.

Left to honor her memory is her son, Mike Boyd, along with his wife, Sherry, her sister Judy Buckner, and her husband, Mark. Mary also leaves behind five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their loving care and support during Mary's final days.

A Celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren (5484 Blue Ridge Blvd. Blue Ridge, Virginia 24064).
