Marlenea Kay Jackson (Dooley), a vibrant and spirited soul, passed away on April 22nd, 2025, surrounded by love and cherished memories. Known for her boundless compassion and zest for life, Marlenea left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Marlenea was an animal lover through and through, with a special fondness for dogs, cats, wolves, and bears. Her unwavering dedication to the welfare of animals reflected her compassionate and nurturing heart. She found joy in exploring the world, from relaxing cruises to scenic car rides, always seeking new adventures. The great outdoors called to her, and she embraced it fully—camping under the stars and hiking through nature's beauty were among her favorite pastimes.

Marlenea's creative spirit shone brightly during the holidays. She took great delight in decorating her home for Christmas and Halloween, transforming her surroundings into magical displays of festivity and warmth.

Marlenea was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Dooley Sr., and her sister-in-law, Deborah Dooley. She is survived by her loving mother, Hazel Dooley, and her devoted brother, Tommy Dooley Jr. She leaves behind her beloved son, Matthew Whorley, and his wife, Honey, as well as her cherished goddaughter, Kaydence Kingery. Her legacy lives on through her precious granddaughters: Haylee, Jocelyn, Jordyn, Journey, and Joyana, who were the light of her life.

A celebration of Marlenea's life will be planned for a future date. Her family and friends will come together to honor her memory and the remarkable life she lived.

Marlenea's kindness, love for adventure, and passion for life will forever be remembered. She touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be deeply missed.
