Mariam Georges , age 81, departed this life on August 5, 2022. She was born on June 5, 1941, to the late Georges Georges and Eida Georges, in Syria.

In addition to her mother and father, she proceeded in death by four siblings, Awwad Georges, Hadwie Georges, Moussa Georges, and Eisie Georges.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her loving husband, Naim Sati; her sister, Shamsi Georges; her children, Lftekar Sati (Simone Abuzaid) Sanaa Karkenny (Simone), Joseph Sati (Harbi Habhab), Aydea Sati (Fares Bahi) and Samer Sati; and her grandchildren, Lilian Abuzaid (Geroge Simone), Vivian Abuzaid (Lamar Miral), Naam Abuzaid, Daniel Karkennyn (Peter), Nadia Karkenny, Rachael Karkenny, Marina Sati (George Jeand'ark), Elias Sati, George Bahi, Alondra Bahi, and Majed Sati.

Funeral services will be held on August 12, 2022, at St Philoxenus Syriac Orthodox Church, 1212 Lee Hwy. Roanoke, VA, (Cloverdale Rt. 11) at 12 p.m. Viewing and visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at St. Andrew Diocesan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers make contributions to St. Philoxenus Church.
