Lottie Spradlin Hartman, 92, of Roanoke, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Lottie was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mae Foutz Spradlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hartman; her daughter, Gail Lackey; brothers, Gaylon, Donald, and Barry; and sisters, Kathleen and Pearle.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Elaine Daniels (Eric) and Joe Lackey (Bryana); her son-in-law, Michael Lackey (Cheryl); great-grandchildren: Noah, Josey (Bryce), Jacob, Elly, Micah, and Annalise; brothers: Warren (Claire), Glenn (Doris), and Leslie; and many loved nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Services will be held at Washington Heights Grace Brethren Church, 3833 Michigan Ave NW, Roanoke, on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The family will greet friends at 10:30 a.m., with the service to follow at 11 a.m., officiated by Don Eshelman (retired) and Warren King, Director of Discipleship at Roanoke Valley Christian School.
Lottie loved dancing, taking care of her plants and flowers, and shopping. She enjoyed reading, listening to bluegrass music, and having a dog in her lap.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley for their amazing care and support, as well as the staff and volunteers at Carilion Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley (2321 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153) in honor of Lottie.
