Linda Todd White, a beautiful and spirited woman, passed away surrounded by the love and memories of the family who meant everything to her.

Linda was reunited with her beloved daughter, Katherian, in 2008 following the passing of Katherian’s adopted mother and precious grandmother. That reunion brought them back into one another’s lives, and in the years that followed, their bond grew into something deeply special. After the passing of her husband, Rodger Clinton White, in 2021, Linda came to live with Katherian and her family in their home in Vinton, Virginia. Those years together were among the most cherished of her life.

Linda found her greatest happiness simply in spending time with her daughter and family. Before illness took away some of her independence, she enjoyed long walks, shopping, and watching and attending football and basketball games with her family. She loved music and dancing and took great pride in keeping herself fit and healthy. She was meticulous about her appearance and took equal pride in keeping her home beautiful and in order.

Linda was known for her warm smile, her loving hugs, and her ability to make friends wherever she went. She loved talking with people and could spend hours in the grocery store meeting someone new and turning a simple encounter into a friendship. Her beautiful spirit, warmth, and genuine interest in others left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Linda spent the last two years of her life at Berkshire Health and Rehab in Vinton, Virginia, where she received loving and compassionate care. Her family is especially grateful to the amazing nurses and aides on Unit 2 for the kindness, dignity, and care they gave Linda during her final years.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Lurlene Walker Todd, and her beloved husband of 35 years, Rodger Clinton White.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her only and most beloved daughter, Katherian Begasse, and her son-in-law, James Begasse; her grandchildren, Philip Alderman, Adam Alderman and his wife, Amanda Alderman, Cory Alderman, Andrew Lindsay, Tyler Begasse, and Ashley Begasse; and her three great-grandchildren, Skylar McKinley Alderman, Jack River Alderman, and Adeline Rose Alderman.

Linda’s life was filled with love, family, music, laughter, friendship, and an appreciation for the simple joy of being together. Her family will forever treasure the years they were blessed to have her back in their lives and the countless memories they made together.

Linda will be cremated, with her final resting place to be at sea, as her family lovingly carries her memory forward.
