Linda Louise
Spencer
Feb 11, 1950 — Dec 31, 2021
Roanoke
Mrs. Linda Louise Spencer, of Roanoke, Virginia, peacefully passed away joining her Lord and Savior as she was surrounded by her loving family on New Year's Eve December 31, 2021, at the age of 71.
She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on February 11, 1950, to the late Perla Edmond and Eloise Journell Clay. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine Tiller and Joyce Songer, and her sister-in-law, Lorraine Gibson Clay.
Those left to carry on Linda's memories are her loving brother, Henry Clay; her children, Gary Robbins and Cameron Spencer; grandchildren Candance Washburn and Jimmy Robbins, nine great-grandchildren, nine nephews, two nieces, and a very special friend, Sissy Hall.
Linda was baptized at an early age at Victory Baptist Church where she embraced the love of the Lord. She was a small petite lady that loved everyone and had a heart of gold. Linda was a spitfire—she did not mind telling you how it was or if she liked you. In her earlier years, she loved going camping with her family, especially her brother Henry. She loved to garden and was a great cook who enjoyed piling the table full of tasty treats to feed her family.
A Public Visitation honoring Linda's life will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from Noon until 2 p.m. in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home with Officiant Butch Hammond.
