Mar 28, 1948 — Nov 25, 2025
Radford
Linda Farmer Nelson, 77, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on November 25, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1948, in Radford, VA.
Linda was the longtime owner of Tangles Hair Salon in the Market Square Building in downtown Roanoke for several decades before partnering with her daughter, Teik, and relocating their business to the Grandin Village area of Roanoke. While she was widely known as a talented hairstylist, her greatest gift was her warm, loving charm and beautiful personality. She had an extraordinary ability to lift spirits and brighten days with her smile and her sincere, thoughtful compliments. She loved to shop, spend time with her family, and truly never met a stranger. To describe her in one word would simply be love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Farmer, and her mother, Betty Farmer.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jeff Phillips (Tonia); her daughter, Teik Phillips; her granddaughter, Macy Tepper (Alex); her niece, Pam Gallman, and Pam's daughter, Taylor Gallman; as well as her husbands, Karl Phillips and Dave Nelson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 419 West, located at 3865 Electric Rd., Roanoke, VA 24018.
