Linda Jeanette Hutchinson, age 64, of New Castle , Virginia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She entered the pearly gates to be greeted by those who preceded her in death, her parents, Preston Edward and Alberta Sanders Greenway; husband, Alfred Jerry Hutchinson; daughter, Brenda Gail Greenway; and brothers, Pete and Tommy Greenway.

She is survived by the family that cherishes her, children, Tink Hutchinson (Dina), and Mindy Hutchinson (Shorty); grandchildren, Kaylee, Angel, Casey, Jade, Bell-Bell; great-grandchildren, RaeLynn and Jaxson; siblings, Robert Greenway, Geneva Sarver (Russell), Marvin Greenway (Patsy) and Bertie Hill (Charles); sister-in-law, Nora Greenway; special friends,  Dana Nelson, Gene and Mary Kendall, and Bonnie Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were all special to her.

Linda never met a stranger and called everybody "hunnybun". She was kind-hearted and treated everyone the same. She loved all of the children in her family: nieces, nephews, and cousins, as if the were all her kids, whom she cherished beyond measure. She was a hard-worker all her life and retired from Catawba Hospital after 33 years of service there as the Housekeeping Supervisor. She loved going to the beach with her niece, Lindsey. She loved angels and collected them over her lifetime which led to over 500 for her. She will rest with the real angels in heaven now and be missed by all those who love her.

The Funeral Service for Linda will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, New Castle (40 Boyd Avenue) with interment immediately following at Cross Roads Church Cemetery with Ken Altizer officiating.
