Lena Gertrude Woods of New Castle, Virginia went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2022, at the age of 88. Lena was born on December 13, 1934, to the late James Henry and Elizabeth Ruthie Ann Wolfe.

Lena is proceeded in death by her parents, her siblings, Homer, Alvin, Donald, Herman, Jay, Kenny (Bubby), Lionel, Beulah (Sue), Nellie, Bobbie, Elizabeth, Laura, Pluma, and Linda; her sisters-in-law, Louise and Joyce; and her brothers-in-law, Jay Greenway, Mr. Totty, and Mr. Wikle.

Those left to cherish Lena's memories are her husband of 43 years, Leon Woods; brother, Malcolm (Shorty); sister, Ida Lou; her sisters-in-law, Hazel and Janice Wolfe; brother-in-law, Monte Wolfe and his wife Donna and their family; special people in Lena's life include Timmy, Missy, Terry, and Kenny; and also, several nieces and nephews. Lena is loved and will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church of New Castle with Kevin Altizer officiating on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 6 pm with family receiving friends at 5 pm.
